Taylor Swift, the rarest pop phenomenon is a star who managed to move over from country music to mainstream pop culture and become an iconic figure in the world of pop. She also conquered every continent through her music. Swift shed her roots in the country genre like a second skin and showed she had the finest pop sensibility in her time. Swift was the only singer/songwriter who knew how to take the popular zeitgeist when she went on tour. These skills were evident on her first hits, particularly the Neo-Tribute Tim McGraw but her second album 2008's Fearless featured a singer-songwriter figuring out the person she really was, and in the process finding the mass market. Fearless became a massive success not only in the United States, where six of its singles have been declared platinum, on top of Top Ten hit songs Love Story and you Belong with Me. But it also performed well around all over the world. Swift's Speak Now album released two years ago was a continuation of her earlier success, and catapulted her into superstardom. Swift's popularity grew throughout the three albums that followed - Red (2012), 1989 (2014) and Reputation (2017). Swift had now established herself in a genre where she belonged. When she reduced her sound with the stripped-down releases of 2020, Folklore, and Evermore but she was still on top. This position was maintained with the re-recordings she had made from her earlier catalog as in Midnights, her synth-heavy chart-topping 2022 album.
